P.F. Candle Co. is hiring for a part-time Retail Sales Associate to join our North Beach store during the 2025 holiday season.
Because first impressions are everything, Retail Sales Associates welcome every customer to the store in a friendly and approachable manner, and possess an intimate knowledge of P.F. products, history, and values. Retail Sales Associates are collaborative by nature, outgoing, and are excited to connect with people of all backgrounds.
Retail Sales Associates report to the Shop Manager. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, and have a willingness to adapt to a dynamic work schedule based on workload and team availability.
POSITION: Part-Time, Hourly
START DATE: Mid-October
END DATE: Early to mid-January, depending
SALARY: $23/HR
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Product Expertise
Utilize strong sales techniques to upsell or cross-sell products, ensuring customers leave with the right items for their needs
Ensure a seamless checkout process, including sales, returns, and exchanges, and answer any questions or concerns professionally
Achieve and exceed sales goals through personalized recommendations and building lasting customer relationships
Stay informed about all products and be able to communicate their unique selling points effectively
Customer Service Greet customers with a warm, friendly demeanor and create a welcoming environment throughout the shopping experience
Engage in meaningful conversations to understand customer needs and offer product suggestions
Provide expert knowledge and customer education on product information, development and production processes, and care/best use suggestions
Gather customer feedback and share with larger team to identify successes and areas of improvement
Store Presentation & Experience Maintain a clean and organized storefront at all times, ensuring that product displays are always well-stocked and aesthetically aligned with creative direction
Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and product restocking
Organize back stock and storage areas to ensure efficiency and easy access to merchandise
Administrative Support Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and balancing the register
Contribute to marketing initiatives, such as in-store promotions or social media content
Assist with in-store events and activations
QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience in retail or customer-facing roles is preferred
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Excellent communication skills founded on honesty and transparency
Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing time efficiently
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
Interest in learning about P.F. products and enthusiasm for brands with a similar mission is a plus
Must take punctuality seriously!
