Position Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides vital nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care settings, working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. You will demonstrate expertise in nursing practices to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of residents according to their care plans. Your role includes: Ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Administering medications and treatments as ordered. Conducting assessments and documenting resident care accurately. Building effective relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Communicating clearly while maintaining confidentiality. Counseling residents and their families on prevention and treatment options. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; an Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. Current unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing Board; multi-state licensure privileges are a plus. Must have completed supervised clinical experience across the lifespan or have 400 hours of prior LPN experience. Completion of required competencies and certifications. Annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training are mandatory.
