Your Day at Lowe's
As a Customer Service Associate, you will greet customers, helping them navigate our store and discover the right products for their home improvement projects. Your daily tasks will include assisting customers in selecting products, loading merchandise, and addressing their various needs.
While primarily focused on customer engagement, your responsibilities may vary based on the department where you are assigned.
Customer Service Associates are typically positioned in departments based on hiring needs and skillsets, which may include Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Decor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers warmly, address inquiries, and provide friendly, professional service.
Assist customers in locating and managing merchandise.
Restock merchandise by identifying empty shelf spaces and replenishing supplies.
Accurately process orders and deliveries to ensure customers receive their items on time.
Cross-train in additional areas of the store to enhance the overall customer experience.
Prepare merchandise in your department according to customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut pipe, bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
Guide customers through their shopping experience, including checkout.
Complete other assigned duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
6 months experience using a computer, including data input, access, modification, or output.
6 months experience with retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic operations (addition and subtraction).
Able to stand, sit, and engage in activities for extended periods.
Capable of lifting a minimum of 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with an accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bi-lingual skills are a plus.
Certification in a trade related to your department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).

Travel Requirements
This role requires minimal travel; however, occasional trips for meetings, training, or to assist neighboring stores may be necessary.
Working Conditions
Conditions may vary by location, with potential exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments. Be prepared for varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, and potentially wet, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Associates may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises, as well as moving objects and equipment.
Lifting procedures differ based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must adhere to guidelines that limit single lifts to 75 lbs. Team lifts are encouraged starting at 75 lbs or as necessary. Utilize powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained colleague.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.45 per hour.
