Your Role: As a part-time Assistant Manager, you will be a vital part of our leadership team, driving sales and profitability, nurturing a customer-first culture, and executing daily business priorities. In collaboration with the Store Manager, you will lead and develop a high-performance team while upholding our values, brand, policies, and operational standards. Your responsibilities may encompass areas such as Customer Experience, Freight Flow, Operations, and Merchandising, based on business needs and your personal skills and career aspirations. Main Responsibilities: Lead a customer-first culture by engaging customers, enhancing loyalty initiatives, and maintaining visual and brand standards. Analyze business trends using available reporting to address opportunities and take proactive actions. Promote and exemplify the culture and values of World Market. Plan and execute daily business tasks and duties as assigned by the Store Manager. Recruit, develop, and retain a customer-focused team that aligns with our core values through effective training and performance management. Utilize company tools and resources to educate and validate team performance on key business functions. Ensure compliance with Loss Prevention policies and inventory management practices. Support a safe work environment through ongoing training and accountability. Qualifications: Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating results in customer experience and operations. Effective communication skills with a willingness to receive feedback and adapt quickly. Ability to offer real-time coaching to team members. Skilled in de-escalating customer and store situations effectively. Strong planning and prioritization abilities to meet business needs. High sense of urgency and attention to detail. Creative problem-solving and sound decision-making skills. Effective delegation skills. Ability to efficiently execute daily priorities. A minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience in a specialty retail environment is preferred. Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs. Minimum age requirement: 21 years. Additional Information: Full time and part-time associates can participate in the Company's 401(k) retirement savings plan after three months of service.
