As a Part-Time MRI Technologist, you will have a vital role in our healthcare mission. We’re looking for dedicated professionals to operate MRI scanners and help diagnose and treat various health conditions.
Job Summary: Operate an MRI scanner and ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients effectively while selecting the appropriate anatomic and technical parameters for creating precise cross-sectional images.
Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education regarding MRI procedures.
Accurately enter and monitor patient data and manage image transfer to PACS.
Administer contrast media and medications in compliance with applicable regulations.
Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS.
Maintain the functionality of MRI equipment, promptly reporting any issues.
Keep the department clean and organized, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
Work safely and remain alert at all times.
Other duties as assigned to support the department and hospital.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an MRI or Radiology Technology program.
Experience: Minimum of one year direct experience in MRI technology.
Physical Requirements:
Constantly stand and walk throughout shifts.
Frequent use of vision for close and distant tasks.
Effective oral and auditory communication skills.
Regular lifting and moving of patients and objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
Occasional lifting of heavier objects and movements requiring bending or stooping.
Certifications Required:
Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification, or
ARMRIT certification - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Work Schedule: Day Shifts, Part-Time, 24 scheduled hours per week.
