The College of Arts & Sciences at Syracuse University is seeking a Part-time Instructor to teach CSD . This is a 1 credit course taught in-person once a week during the Fall semester, starting August 25th.

This course teaches students the application of techniques used in the assessment and treatment of young children with language disabilities. Practice of computerized analysis of language samples, standardized and informal assessment, and interventions for young children and their families.

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per‐credit‐rate‐history within the hiring department. All course offerings are subject to funding availability and enrollment. Qualifications Ph.D. preferred. Job Specific Qualifications Not Applicable Responsibilities Part-time Instructor duties will include the following:

Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.

Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class

start date.

Preparing lectures, projects or other student assignments.

Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week.

Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance

levels of the class.

Meeting all designated class periods. If you are unable to meet with your

class due to illness or emergency, you should exercise your best effort to

reschedule the class or to obtain a substitute. You must also notify the

department chair or their designated contact of your absence and of your plan to

cover the class.

Working with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes.

Submitting completed final grades according to University regulations.

Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.

Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student

evaluations.

Completing all other course-related duties as outlined by your
