Your Day at Lowe's As a Customer Service Associate, your responsibilities will include welcoming customers, assisting them in locating the right products and services for their home improvement projects, interacting with customers throughout the day, loading merchandise, and ensuring that all customer needs are met. Your daily tasks may vary based on the department in which you work. Your contribution will be vital in one of the following departments: Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Decor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services. Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide friendly and professional service. Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise. Restock shelves by replenishing supplies as needed. Accurately process orders and deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction. Cross-train in various store areas to enhance customer service delivery. Prepare merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., tinting paint, cutting wood, etc.). Guide customers through shopping or checkout processes. Complete other assigned duties as necessary. Minimum Qualifications 6 months of computer experience, including inputting and accessing information. 6 months of experience with retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills (addition and subtraction). Able to perform tasks that may involve prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs unassisted or more with proper accommodation. Preferred Qualifications 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience. Bi-lingual skills are a plus. Relevant certifications in the trade related to the department (e.g., plumbing, electrical, etc.). Travel Requirements This role does not require regular travel but may occasionally involve travel for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Working Conditions Environmental factors may vary by location, and you may work in both indoor and outdoor conditions with exposure to different climates, including heat, cold, wind, or dampness. You may also encounter noise and movement due to equipment and activities. Proper lifting methods will be required, with a guideline limiting single lifts to 75 lbs and team lifts for heavier weights, with appropriate training needed for powered equipment.
