General Summary of Position Medstar Health is seeking a dedicated Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to enhance our team! This part-time role consists of 2 shifts of 8 hours each, totaling 16 hours per week. Day and time schedules are to be determined. We welcome applications from individuals who hold certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), and possess strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy. The CT Technologist will play a vital role in producing high-quality computerized tomographic images of designated anatomical areas, including abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetric, and gynecological scans. Primary Duties: Perform CT scans, obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns regarding the scans. Conduct CT examinations including abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetrics, and gynecology scans, along with radiation therapy localization and minor surgical procedures. Administer IV access and contrast injections according to departmental policies. Maintain a well-stocked supply of materials necessary for daily operations. Review and evaluate completed tests for quality and ensure all images meet required standards. Transport patients to the CT scan room and prepare and maintain the room for daily activities, referring to competency validation documents as necessary. Qualifications: Training in computer-assisted tomography. Experience in CT or completion of a certified CT program. Current ARRT or NMTCB license, with required paperwork to perform diagnostic CTs filed with the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Associate's degree preferred. This position offers a competitive hiring range of $34.98 - $56.85 per hour.
