Position Type: Part-Time Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.50 | Year 3 - $19.00 | Year 4 - $19.00 | Year 5 - $20.00 Key Responsibilities: You will be expected to perform these duties with or without reasonable accommodation: Work collaboratively with team members and communicate important information to your supervisor. Maintain security and confidentiality of documents and information in your area. Complete various other tasks as assigned. Cashier Duties: Efficiently process customer transactions while ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. Deliver outstanding customer service and assist shoppers with their needs. Provide constructive feedback to management concerning products, inventory discrepancies, and general issues. Participate in periodic inventory counts and monitor stock for accuracy. Adhere strictly to cash handling policies to minimize losses. Stock Associate Duties: Stock shelves regularly and rotate products to guarantee customers have access to fresh items. Follow merchandising guidelines to maintain appealing product displays. Organize new shipments, managing empty packaging efficiently. Operate machinery safely and adhere to all safety regulations. Physical Requirements: This role requires regular movement, including sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking throughout the store. Stock Associates should be capable of lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds and placing them on shelves at various heights. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Strong ability to provide timely and polite customer service. Capacity to maintain cleanliness according to company standards. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team setting. Good time management skills. Familiarity with company products and services. Specific Roles: Cashier: Must operate the cash register with accuracy and efficiency. Stock Associate: Must have morning availability, with shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m. and possess the ability to handle equipment safely, including manual/electric hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers. Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in a retail environment is advantageous, although a combination of education and experience that imparts equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
