Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00 | Year 3 - $19.50 | Year 4 - $19.50 | Year 5 - $20.50
Duties and Responsibilities: You will be expected to perform your tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with your direct leader.
Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data in your responsibility area.
Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Cashier Responsibilities:
Process customer purchases while maintaining cleanliness and neatness in the store.
Deliver outstanding customer service and assist customers throughout their shopping experience.
Provide feedback to management regarding products, inventory losses, and general issues.
Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy.
Adhere to cash policies to help minimize losses.
Stock Associate Responsibilities:
Stock shelves efficiently and ensure proper rotation of products for freshness.
Follow merchandising planograms to create visually appealing displays.
Organize new inventory and properly dispose of packaging materials.
Operate machinery safely, adhering to all safety procedures.
Physical Demands:
Be prepared to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
Stock Associates should be capable of lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds and placing them on shelves at various heights.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Commitment to delivering prompt and courteous customer service.
Ability to perform general cleaning duties to meet company standards.
Interpret company policies and procedures with ease.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Effective time management skills.
Familiarity with the company’s products and services.
Cashier applicants must efficiently operate a cash register.
Cashiers must comply with state and local regulations regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages.
Stock Associates must safely and properly operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
Morning availability is necessary for Stock Associates to support store operations, with start times as early as 5:00 a.m.
Education and Experience: A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in retail is also preferred, complemented by relevant education and experience that provide equivalent knowledge.
