As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager Level 1, youll be a huge part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing the best customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can get their hands on the merch they love. Youll use your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits and ensure their success, and also support the management team in daily operations and meeting sales targets. WHAT YOU'LL DO Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return. Theyll be impressed by your product knowledge, customer experience skills, and enthusiasm for pop culture. Step in and step up when needed. Youll cover the sales floor and provide leadership support when your Manager gets pulled away. Youve got the keys to the store, and youre not afraid to use them! Youll open and close the store, as needed. Work the register; youll process sales transactions and use your fandom knowledge to drive add-on sales using additional benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup. Youll also close out the register and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager. Understand store sales plan, goals, and key KPIs: UPT and ADT. Assist with planogram changes including store layout, wall, fixture, and merchandising mix. Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners. Support store organization and maintenance, including stock room organization and store tidiness. Help develop and retain a passionate, collaborative team to run your store alongside you. Perform any other activities as assigned by your Store Leader. WHAT YOU'LL NEED At least 1 year of retail store experience. If you love music and pop culture, you're in the right place! Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a drive to develop your team. A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
