As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager Level 1, youll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. Youll use your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits and support the management team in daily operations and meeting sales targets. WHAT YOU'LL DO Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customers to return. Demonstrate product knowledge, customer service skills, and enthusiasm for pop culture. Assist in store operations by stepping in and supporting when needed, including covering the sales floor and providing leadership support in the absence of the manager. Open and close the store as required, maintaining operational security and readiness. Operate the register, process sales transactions, and use your fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales and benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate any shortages or overages to the Store Manager. Understand store sales plans, goals, and key performance indicators such as UPT and ADT. Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising. Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners to keep the store current and relevant. Work with store management to prevent theft and ensure store security. Support maintaining an organized stockroom and a tidy store environment. Contribute to developing a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively. Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader. WHAT YOU'LL NEED At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus! Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a drive to develop your team members. A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
