Part Time Retail Customer Service Representative Position: Part Time Retail Customer Service Representative Location: Manhattan, NY Overview A PostNet Retail Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting customers with store services and products. Operates the point-of-sale system, copiers/printers, rental computers, and other store equipment in addition to other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Assist customers with shipping and packaging services, printing estimates/orders, and other services offered by the franchise owner Assist customers with product and service needs in person, via email, and by phone Process customer sales through the point-of-sale system Upsell, cross-sell, and actively participate in marketing and promotional initiatives Assist management in maintaining, ordering, and stocking inventory & store Maintain the center consistent with established standards and cleanliness Interact with couriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS), vendors, and all store staff Sort, deposit, and maintain mail and packages for private mailboxes Capture, complete tasks, and organize Virtual Mail Maintain store areas clean and tidy; manage paper area, shredding, and waste disposal systems Requirements Must be able to stand behind a sales counter for extended periods Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds Must be able to communicate clearly with customers by email, phone, and in person Must perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner 30-day training and trial period Associate's Degree minimum or equivalent experience required Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Windows, and Canva Pro Some supervisory skills preferred Dual language preferred (Spanish/English), but not required Mandatory Saturday shift (4 hours) Must be available a minimum of 2-3 days per week, up to 19 hours per week, based on store operating hours Benefits and Perks Competitive compensation 401(k) and 401(k) matching Competitive salary Employee discounts Free uniforms Opportunity for advancement Training & development Daily Tasks Assist customers with shipping, printing estimates/orders, and other services offered Assist customers in person, via email, and by phone Process sales through the point-of-sale system Support upselling and marketing initiatives Support management in maintaining and stocking inventory Keep store areas clean and orderly Coordinate with couriers and vendors Handle mail deposits and Virtual Mail tasks Company Overview Since 1993, PostNet has provided high-quality printing and shipping solutions.
