What's involved in this role: The Retail Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while adhering to food safety requirements. Part Time position Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Greet customers entering the establishment, ensuring a positive guest experience by exceeding their expectations. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Operate the cash register, receiving payments and issuing receipts or change as necessary. Perform cash drawer reconciliations. Restock shelves and ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the day. Price products and prepare sampling items for customers. Accurately prepare orders according to customer specifications. Cook and prepare food items in line with our quality standards. Work in the deli to create cheese trays, pizzas, and bagging products. Ensure compliance with health codes and organizational standards. Operate equipment safely in accordance with safety standards. Take farm orders and maintain store keys as needed. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Follow food storage, receiving, and stocking practices per safety standards. Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices. Uphold safety protocols by stopping any observed unsafe acts. Identify and report safety hazards promptly. This list of duties is not all-inclusive and may be expanded as needs arise. What You Need to Join Our Team: Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Required: Experience in a retail or food safety environment preferred. Certification/Licensure Required: Ability to obtain a local Liquor Operator's License. Skills Required: Strong customer service skills with a focus on meeting expectations. Basic computer and math skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Exhibit professionalism and maintain constructive relationships. Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 50-55 pounds. Comfortable with repetitive bending and twisting.
