DescriptionReports to: Production Manager Direct Reports: None FLSA Status: Non-exempt Position Overview: Responsible for supporting the audio production and stagehand operations before, during, and after live performances and events, such as concerts, festivals, corporate events, small stage presentations, comedy acts, and others hosted at ArtsQuest. Additional responsibilities may include stage and system set up, maintenance days, artist and client interaction, and training. Note: This position supports live music/event venues (ArtsQuest Center Musikfest Café, Levitt Pavilion, Palette and Pour, Blast Furnace Room, Town Square, Banana Factory Arts and Cultural Center, etc.), indoor and outdoor festivals and events, corporate and private events and performs live concert mixing and all the duties listed above. No studio experience is required.RequirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1-3 years active live audio production experience to include but is not limited to: Experience in set up, operation, and tear down of professional sound equipment and PA systems.Experience mixing Monitors and Front of House.Experience with digital and analogue mixing consoles; AVID Profile, SC48, Digico, Yamaha, Allen and Heath, Mackie.Solid understanding of I/O patching and cross patching.Solid technical ability and troubleshooting skills.Corporate event experience; setting up video systems, computers, presentations, mics, lights, sound, etc.1-3 years active stagehand experience to include but not limited to: Moving and building of physical stages and other stage elements including decks, cross braces, risers, etc.Loading and unloading of artist vehicles; vans, box trucks, semi-trucks, etc.Other experience needed: Willingness to share knowledge and mentor less-seasoned crew.Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with employees, professional musicians, customers, artists, technicians and volunteers with diplomacy and patience.Flexibility/versatility in doing whatever it takes to get the job done.Experience with data entry and proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays when needed.Ability to multi-task with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work indoors or outdoors, behind a console and remain visible and accessible to artists.A valid driver's license and safe driving record.Recommended Skills, knowledge, and abilities: Fork-lift certification a plusScissor-lift certification a plusExperience driving larger vehicles a plusElectronics repair a plus
