Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic Optometric Technician who will play a vital role in ensuring an efficient patient flow and supporting our optometrists in providing exceptional eye care. This position offers comprehensive training—no prior optical experience is required! Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care and maintain a professional atmosphere in the doctor's office. Learn and understand ocular terminology and diseases to accurately assist in patient examinations. Effectively explain preliminary examinations to patients. Complete necessary paperwork and conduct pre-exams on patients before the doctor's evaluation. Encourage visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients. Review patient prescriptions and information to identify any special needs. Collaborate with opticians, doctors, and retail management as necessary. Maintain organized patient records and ensure the equipment is properly cared for. Manage inventory of supplies and pharmaceuticals as directed. Adhere to all corporate policies and participate in mandatory communication meetings. Qualifications: Are You the Right Fit? Previous retail or optical experience is a plus but not necessary. Demonstrated strong customer service skills. Eager to learn about optical knowledge. Ability to provide clear instructions to customers. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
