This full-time occupational therapy position supports students ranging from 18 months to 22 years old within a K-12 school setting in New Castle, DE. The role involves working alongside a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and a part-time occupational therapist, with a focus on 100% IEP-driven caseloads. Flexible scheduling is available between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week, with a contract starting on August 28, 2025. Responsibilities: Deliver individual and group occupational therapy services aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborate with educational teams and families to support student progress and participation. Utilize and enhance skills in American Sign Language (ASL), as this is a bimodal Deaf and Hard of Hearing school. Participate in ongoing ASL training and competency assessments provided by the school. Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines. Adapt therapy approaches to meet the diverse developmental and functional needs of students aged 18 months to 22 years. Qualifications: Valid Occupational Therapy licensure and certification. Experience working in school-based settings preferred. Willingness and commitment to learn and regularly use ASL. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team. Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic interventions.
