The Nutrition Services Team Member will primarily assist in the preparation of therapeutic and modified diets for our patients while also serving meals for employees, visitors, and special functions. You will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of inventory management, serviceware, and sanitary conditions within the department. There will also be opportunities to perform duties as a Cook and Nutrition Service Clerk as needed. A vibrant community of passionate individuals. Your Responsibilities Maintain proper temperature for both hot and cold foods. Interpret and follow written recipes and verbal instructions. Break down carts and remove scraps from patient trays. Assemble and deliver late patient trays, supplements, and special requests. Portion and garnish food according to menus and specific dietary requirements. Assemble patient trays efficiently to meet service schedules. Assist patients with their menu selections. Clean and sanitize all assigned areas meticulously. Organize and manage time effectively to complete tasks. Qualifications Possession of a food handler's permit, as required by state or county regulations. Preferred training in food preparation for therapeutic diets. Recent experience in institutional cooking and special function cooking preferred. Knowledge of food safety guidelines is preferred. Willingness to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and nights as needed.
