Job Description North Orange County Community College District is now accepting applications for an Electrical Adjunct Instructor to teach at our North Orange Continuing Education campus in Anaheim. Adjunct faculty are hired in a part-time capacity on a term-by-term basis, contingent upon the needs of the school and student demand.
The instructor is responsible for providing meaningful quality instruction and workforce preparation to students that meet the program and course objectives. Electrical Faculty teach a variety of Career Technical Education (CTE) classes covered in the Electrical Technology Certificate Program. This includes, but is not limited to electrical math, OSHA safety standards, residential, commercial, and industrial electrical fundamentals, conduit bending, blueprint reading, and cost estimating.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; AND two years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught
OR
Associate degree; AND six years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught
OR
Possession of a full-time, clear California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in the subject matter
OR
For courses in an occupation for which the district offers or has offered apprenticeship instruction, the minimum qualifications for noncredit apprenticeship instructors in that occupation, as specified in title 5 section 53413.

Desirable Qualifications Minimum four (4) years professional experience working as an Electrician.
Certified General Electrician.
OSHA Authorized Trainer.
Experience teaching adult students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and varying levels of proficiency.
A working knowledge of, and experience with, student learning outcomes and assessment.
Demonstrated success in helping students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities.
