Shift Lead Job Description

Job Summary:

The Shift Lead plays a key leadership role in the daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring store standards are consistently met and a high level of customer service is delivered. This position is responsible for supporting management, guiding the team, and overseeing all operational functions during their assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Store Operations:

·       Open and close the store according to company policies and procedures.

·       Open and close cash tills, ensuring accuracy and accountability.

·       Pay for deliveries and ensure proper documentation and verification.

·       Receive and process deliveries both physically and digitally in compliance with state regulations and company SOPs.

·       Customer Experience:

·       Handle customer service issues with professionalism and care, escalating as needed.

·       Maintain a welcoming, knowledgeable, and compliant sales floor.

·       Assist customers at the register and on the sales floor as needed.

·       Inventory & Merchandising:

·       Keep the sales floor fully stocked, clean, and merchandised to company standards.

·       Ensure product menus (in-store and online) are accurate and up to date.

·       Monitor stock levels and communicate needs to inventory staff or management.

·       Leadership & Team Support:

·       Lead by example, setting the tone for team performance and professionalism.

·       Provide guidance and support to budtenders during the shift.

·       Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

·       Additional Duties:

·       Complete additional tasks as assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Manager.

Qualifications:

·       Previous cannabis retail experience preferred.

·       Proven leadership abilities or previous supervisory experience a plus.

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

·       Must be 21+

·       Must have Marijuana Handler’s Card

·       Mus have Food Handler’s Certification (TAPS series)
