JOB DUTIES As a key member of the Production team, this role will report to the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for the following: Respect a culture of safety first for you and your peers through strict adherence to health and safety procedures and protocols. Responsible for quality control on shift by emphasizing workplace safety practices. Develop a team atmosphere to obtain desired production goals. Mentor and develop staff by actively coaching team members, identifying growth opportunities, and providing constructive guidance. Hold team members accountable by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and providing timely feedback. Recognize and reward achievements to motivate team members and reinforce positive behavior. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and problem-solving among team members. Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic. Must be able to manage and supervise confined space entries. Ensure complete and accurate log entries of all pertinent operational issues. Ensure complete and accurate REC's and shift reports. Ensure completion of position checklists on the crew. Ensure shift stays on task and completes required job duties. Notify the Production Supervisor of any production problems or issues. Follow procedures for plant start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and batching. Complete all required LMS and field training. Ensure crew stays up to date with required training.
Review water tests, treatments, and logs, and make adjustments to chemicals for the boiler and cooling tower as required. Demonstrate good leadership and team-building skills. Responsible for initial troubleshooting of process issues. Evaluate data daily to ensure the process is in control. Able to assist with troubleshooting of seed train issues. Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly. Responsible for continued learning and progression through tier levels. Ability to attend required training or meetings outside of the normal shift schedule. Any other tasks as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum 1 years' experience in Production. Demonstrated ability to lead a small team, minimum 1 year of experience. High school diploma required; manufacturing experience preferred. Production experience and familiarity with processing equipment (ex, pumps, motors, etc.). Ability to multitask and maintain focus and quality of each task. Ability to work independently and with excellent time management. Ability to follow protocols with high precision and accuracy. Conflict resolution skills to navigate and address workplace disputes effectively. Ability to inspire and motivate a team while maintaining a positive work environment. Experience fostering accountability and ownership among team members through performance management strategies. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to enhance team cohesion. Keen attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills Quick and effective diagnosis and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills Understanding of equipment maintenance. Ability to follow the company Standard Operating Procedures. Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities preferred. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and P&IDs. Capable of working with hand and power tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
