Role:
The National Strategic Retail Operations Manager will lead the operational execution, performance optimization, and partner alignment for our retail network across the United States. This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless experience across point-of-sale systems, retailer collaboration, compliance, and benefit fulfillment, while supporting business growth initiatives through strategic operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the national lead for all retail partner operations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and performance across multiple store networks and digital platforms
Work cross-functionally with internal teams (Product, Compliance, Client Services, IT) and externally with retail partners to ensure our programs are scalable, efficient, and member-friendly.
Drive end-to-end operational excellence across partner onboarding, POS integration, transaction testing, inventory eligibility, and store readiness
Lead cross-functional planning with internal stakeholders to support benefit launches, retail promotions, and benefit configuration updates
Own the retail incident management process, including escalation handling, root cause analysis, and resolution with technical and account teams
Monitor and analyze performance data (e.g., transaction success rates, utilization, POS errors) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
Act as a liaison between product, compliance, and retailer teams to ensure proper execution of card rules, benefit parameters, and member support workflows
Participate in joint planning meetings, QBRs, and strategic alignment sessions to share insights and coordinate growth initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with national retail partners to support joint growth, operational alignment, and innovation opportunities
Lead operational readiness planning for new state launches, benefit types, and strategic initiatives (e.g., digital wallet, scan-based delivery, etc.)
Collaborate with internal product, engineering, and implementation teams to ensure timely and accurate deployment of new benefits or program changes across POS and digital interfaces.
Maintain oversight of BIN provisioning, card recognition, and payment authorization logic across in-store and online systems.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in product operations, retail program management, or strategic partner execution — preferably within healthcare, consumer technology, or digital retail.
Experience managing large, national retailers or multi-location programs across multiple stakeholders
Strong understanding of point-of-sale systems, retail inventory flows, or payment infrastructure
Excellent cross-functional communication and project management skills
Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders in operational workflows
Data-driven mindset; ability to interpret performance reports and turn insights into action
Proven success in managing complex cross-functional initiatives with technical, marketing, and client-facing stakeholders.
Prior experience in healthcare, fintech, or supplemental benefits is a strong plus
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (MBA a plus)
