**This is a fully onsite position in Milford, MA** Responsibilities/ Job Duties: Tracks all denials and appeals including but not limited to Medical Necessity, DRG/Coding, Clinical Validation, RACs, etc. using Excel. Tracks appeals through various stages which may include 1 st , or 2nd levels of appeals, and up to appeals at the ALJ (Administrative Law Judge) level. Processes all denials and appeals including uploading denials to vendor for review. Interacts with physicians and nurses regarding appeals. Processes and mails all appeal letters including cover letters, appeal request forms, and patient documentation accurately, completely and timely to meet all deadlines. Works closely with various depts including Care Management, Patient Financial Services, Coding and Vendors. Works directly with payers and utilizes payer portals. Tracks financial gains and losses via Excel spreadsheets to be presented at various Revenue Cycle committees. Reconciles and validates all invoices received from appeals vendor and processing of other invoices.
