Job Purpose: Primary function is to assist with the coordination of billing, scheduling, intake, and QA functions.

Position Summary

Medical Billing Clerk responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with maintaining patient schedules efficiently and appropriately, and in compliance with authorizations
• Verifies Medicaid and Managed Care eligibility and benefits
• Various billing projects (Request Medical records and authorization from health plans)
• Conducting chart audits for completion
• Monitors the Call Dashboard according to agency policy, and documents in every visit each time an aide fails to call in or out for a visit
• Notify the client and the Supervisor of any changes in service on time
• Document all missed visits with the appropriate reasons
• Assist caregivers with clock-in and out issues

Qualifications:

• 1 year of medical billing experience and/or exposure, and want to continue utilizing those skills and growing your skill set in a medical billing role
• Must have the ability to write and document appropriately using computers
• Must have great phone and communication skills
• Basic mathematical skills and data entry experience required
• Must be able to manage time and be a complex problem solver, needs to have the ability to monitor and assess performance
