Job Summary: In this dynamic role, you will assist in a variety of nursing care services to support our patients' needs efficiently. Your dedication will make a significant difference in their healthcare journey. Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with the registered nurse to manage patient care tasks based on your demonstrated competence. Collect, document, and reassess patient data timely to ensure optimal care. Effectively communicate changes in patients’ conditions to the health care team, including Physicians and RNs. Demonstrate capability in performing 12 lead EKGs following established procedures. Support medical procedures alongside physician and nursing staff. Maintain and organize medical supplies, ensuring patient care areas are well-stocked and prepared. Prepare patient rooms and ensure a clean and safe environment after each visit. Assist with clerical responsibilities, including answering calls and managing patient records as needed. Facilitate smooth patient discharge processes and provide appropriate transport when required. Uphold a vigilant and safe working environment at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned to advance patient care. Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED required, or 10 years of work experience. No prior experience necessary; training will be provided. Physical Requirements: Effective communication skills are essential. Ability to stand and walk frequently; some lifting (0-50 lbs.) may be necessary. Capable of performing repetitive motions and manual tasks, including patient handling. Licensing and Certifications: Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification required. Valid Driver's License required. State-specific EMT or paramedic certification is also necessary. Work Schedule: Day shift position at SSM Health Dean Medical Group, Madison North High Point.
