Job Overview:
The Material Handler/Equipment Operator plays a critical role in supporting warehouse operations by ensuring the efficient, accurate, and safe handling of materials. This position is responsible for loading and unloading goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and preparing orders for shipment while strictly adhering to company safety and operational standards.
Shift Details:
1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM-3:15 PM.
What You'll Do:
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials using sit down forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and documentation.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for timely shipment.
- Operate reach trucks to efficiently retrieve and store materials in high-bay racks.
- Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on forklifts, reach trucks, and related equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies to ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Complete required shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation accurately and on time.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating sit down forklifts and reach trucks.
- Extensive experience in warehouse, logistics, or returns processing preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management and inventory control systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills (email communication, spreadsheets, data entry).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
