As a Manufacturing Material Handler I, you are responsible for supplying components/raw material to manufacturing production, collecting finished goods and delivering to shipping, removing waste from work areas as well as ensuring operations have materials they need to maintain continuous production. Key role responsibilities include: Move materials to and from work cells, delivering trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas. Maintain constant supply of materials to production. Assess component/material availability and alert department team leader to potential outages in production. Utilize powered industrial equipment including; Fork Trucks, Raymond, Drexel, WAVE, etc. Prepare / package finished goods for collection by tugger. Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing and loading them. Assist production with removal of waste, debris, excess material, etc to ensure continuous production. Assist with preparation of material. This may include but is not limited to; cutting, labeling, un-packaging, preparing raw material per job, etc. Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes and other equipment to move materials. Comply with all safety rules and guidelines. Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems. Perform other duties as assigned or directed by supervisor which may include direct labor. Qualifications and experience: High School diploma or equivalent. 0-2 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred. Strong attention to detail. Must be able to work well in a team. Bend, squat down, and reach above your head. Lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Work in confined spaces. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines. Self-Motivating. Effective verbal and written communication. Ability to read, write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials. Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
