Your Role

The Manager or Senior Manager, Sales Training leads design, development, and implementation of the training material for the sales force. This role emphasizes delivering new hire training, facilitating brand updates, and ensuring the seamless implementation of training initiatives throughout the year. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure training content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with business needs. The role will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining vendor relationships and work closely with the training team on new product launch strategy and training, the development of new hire onboarding, National Sales Meetings, Plan of Action Meetings, and pull-through training.

This is a hybrid role, based out of our Madison, NJ office. Please note that the title will be dependent on experience.

Your Responsibilities
•Deliver and facilitate comprehensive onboarding programs for new sales team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed. Actively observe and assess training sessions to surface areas of improvement and recommend enhancements to optimize the onboarding experience.
•Execute training sessions to communicate brand updates, including new product information, clinical data, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with marketing to ensure sales representatives learn and can effectively execute upon strategic messages in the field.
•Conduct field rides with existing sales representatives to observe how training content is being applied, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide coaching to enhance performance.
•Facilitate live and virtual training sessions, workshops, and role-playing exercises, creating an engaging and safe learning environment that encourages participation, growth, and skill development.
•Ensure all training materials and activities adhere to company policies, legal standards, and regulatory guidelines. Partner with compliance teams to review and approve training content as needed.
•Ensure training programs and materials emphasize a patient-centered approach, equipping sales representatives to deliver solutions that prioritize patient needs and improve outcomes.
•Coordinate and execute training sessions at National Sales Meetings, Plan of Action Meetings, and other key events, ensuring smooth delivery and participant engagement.
•Track and report on training effectiveness using performance metrics and feedback, making adjustments to improve outcomes.
•Act as a proactive project manager when working with vendors, ensuring alignment with internal requirements, clear communication of expectations, and timely delivery of high-quality training materials and programs.
•Lead and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set priorities, manage timelines, and resolve challenges effectively.

Your Qualifications
•BA/BS required.
•Masters or other advanced degree preferred.
•Minimum 5 years sales experience, sales manager experience preferred.
•Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical or biotech experience, der-matology experience preferred, device sales a plus.
•Experience writing and developing training programs and materials.
•Experience with managed care, reimbursement, and specialty pharmacy preferred.
•Strong project management abilities.
•Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong presentation and facilitation skills; ability to make large group presentations at regional and national meetings.
•Excellent writing skills required.
•Beginner/moderate experience using AI tools preferred.
•Proven understanding of selling skills and disease state knowledge (dermatology experience preferred).
•The ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required up to 50%; some nights, weekends and overnight travel may be required to attend meetings, field rides, and congresses.

The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $185,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
