Job Summary:
The Manager of Retail Pharmacy Services is responsible for total operations of the Pavilion Pointe Pharmacy. Manager is also responsible for the Witham Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) relations and will work directly with HR to facilitate benefits cost controlling measures and staff education. This leadership position is accountable for providing leadership through process of communicating goals & objectives, coaching, supporting, mentoring staff, collaborating with committee participants, and other network staff toward achievement of retail pharmacy revenue growth along with benefits cost controls that are aligned with the mission and vision of Witham Health Services and its financial viability. The areas include, but are not limited to, Pavilion Pointe Pharmacy, staffing, prescription fulfillment, compounding, contracting, billing, financial oversight, marketing, and setting policies and procedures that assure compliance with Indiana State Board of Pharmacy and all DEA requirements, PBM relations (involves contracting clarity, formulary management, rebate collection, and monthly analysis for HR committee members).
Additional responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; performance appraisal, rewarding and corrective action for employees, addressing issues and resolving problems. Supports all Witham initiatives including 340b discount drug program and inpatient discharge prescription filling.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of a College or School of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
- Must be eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Indiana.
- Must maintain licensure in good standing as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Indiana.
- Retail pharmacy management experience preferred.
