SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor provides direction to the maintenance team on the day-to-day activities. Incumbent assists in developing and reviewing standard operating procedures. Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., welding, plumbing, light fabrication, carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); boilers, plumbing, etc.); also performs general landscaping, cleaning, and sanitation of the greenhouses and buildings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not intended to be all-inclusive)
Instructs and oversees maintenance team on priority projects to ensure meet health and safety standards.
Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations
Performs duties related to facility retrofit, maintenance and construction projects
Performs electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches and outlets, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools
Performs painting, carpentry, and masonry work (e.g., preparing surfaces and using a brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks, and handles, etc.).
Prepares the surfaces and paints multiple structures and equipment (e.g., walls, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, floors, roofs, doors, restroom facilities, etc.) to preserve the wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g., sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.)
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas
Documents and tracks repairs and maintain records (e.g, LOTO and machine guarding).
Identify problems, research possible solutions, recommend alternatives and implement solutions in conjunction with the management team.
Establish and maintain mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs to ensure employee safety and environmental security
Oversees preventative maintenance schedules & upkeeps all preventative maintenance for the site, this includes but is not limited to; HVAC including Boiler System, BMS, Filter & Oil Changes, Pump Rebuilds (Water, Air & Hydrocarbon), Process Chillers, Process Heaters, Dehumidifiers, Air Compressor(s), Packaging Equipment, Band Sealers, Conveyor Systems, Labeling Equipment, Rotary Equipment, Large Scale Reverse Osmosis Systems, Liquid Depositors, Automated Machinery, Grinders/Milling Machines, Fume Hoods, VOC Detectors, etc.
Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, lifting, walking, standing, some bending/crouching, stooping, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions
Must be able to stand for extended periods while maintaining focus.
Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 75 pounds (200 pounds with assistance) and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products.
Work is subject to weather conditions, including rain and extreme hot or cold temperatures.
May require working rotating shifts with varied hours/day, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
At least 4 years of prior mechanical, HVAC, maintenance experience is desired
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience
Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes (ie. Motors, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power)
Must be able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Experience installing AC/DC devices and 3 phase motor control circuits.
CERTIFICATIONS OR LICENSES REQUIRED
A valid driver’s license and be insurable
