Job Summary: Successful Assistant Store Managers will assist the Store Manager in directing all activities related to client experiences, store sales support, store operations, visual merchandise, financial management, and loss prevention. The Assistant Store Manager will assume the Store Manager’s responsibilities when the Store Manager is not available. Leads by example to foster a positive work environment, promoting motivation and enhancing staff retention while minimizing turnover. Assists in the planning and assigning of sales team's daily tasks and goals. Perform Morning briefs to recap results and set the expectations for the day. Supports Store Manager with scheduling, recruiting, training, and staff development. Assists Store Manager in assessing staff’s performance. Confidently perform all POS transactions, including sales, returns, exchanges. Daily reconciliations, cash handling and assists with bank deposits. Execute the opening and closing of the store as necessary. Assist with the management of all office tasks including management of funds, receiving, inventory and may assist with payroll. Assists in monitoring sales performance, through the analysis and writing of weekly sales reports in partnership with Store Manager. Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures. Meet and exceed monthly sales goal to maximize sales profitability. Ensure company's client experience meets expectations with Mystery shopping results. Actively promotes self-learning and further development through training. Ensure timely completion of training modules by all staff. Prioritize daily Clienteling time in-store with strategic client outreach for high sales conversion. Follows customer service guidelines (i.e. proper greeting etiquette, returns, exchanges, transfers, and loss prevention). Provides support in answering incoming calls and processing phone orders. Maintains a high level of diligence in accurately tagging merchandise to uphold optimal inventory control standards. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness on the sales floor, adhering to the highest standards of organization and general housekeeping. Accurately and efficiently completes all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers. Maintains an awareness of all product knowledge, and merchandise care information. Assists in visual merchandising floor moves, window installations and, display maintenance. Assists in processing and replenishing merchandise while participating in receiving and monitoring floor inventory levels. Assists the Store Manager with communications with our Inventory Control Manager, Warehouse Distribution Center, Customer Service Manager and Global HQ regarding shipping & delivery information as needed. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven track record of managing and motivating a sales team. Resolve employee issues in a timely and effective manner while SM is not available. Partner with HR team if necessary. Any other duties as assigned by Store Manager and/or Retail Director. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma (or GED) and either a degree in Retail, Fashion or related field or equivalent work experience and education required. Minimum of 5 years of successful experience as manager in luxury retail, overseeing a team of 7 or more people Demonstrate proficiency in inventory management, client experience enhancement, and visual merchandising techniques. Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadliners and exceptional attention to detail. Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suit. iPhone iOS, and various POS software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven track record of managing and motivating a sales team. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: This job requires customary and regular independent judgment and discretionary powers in the day-to-day performance of job duties that ensures that company policies are implemented. Familiar with store operations. Ability to speak and communicate effectively with associates and customers using strong interpersonal skills. An organized, self-starter with the ability to work in a multi-task fast paced environment with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions (at times). Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system and POS register system. Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation. Read and understand work-related materials. Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store. Experience with researching and exploring new trends in the marketplace. May travel between boutiques as necessary for business reasons. Ability to work varied hours, days, evenings, weekends, or holidays as business dictates. Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation. Read and understand work-related materials. Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The physical requirements of this position: Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work. The visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field of vision: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
