Job Description

Step into a role where craftsmanship meets luxury.

Mediate Management Company, now in our 40th year, manages some of the most prestigious residential properties in Boston. Our buildings are home to CEOs, athletes, and other high-net-worth individuals — and we’re looking for a Maintenance Technician who can match that level of excellence.

This is more than just fixing what’s broken. This is about presenting spaces that look and feel flawless, anticipating issues before they arise, and doing it all with quiet professionalism in high-stakes, high-standard environments.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Luxury-Level Interior Finishes:

  • Precision painting, patching, and finish work that holds up under close scrutiny. From surface prep to final coat, perfection is expected.

High-End Carpentry:

  • Install crown molding, baseboards, doors, and other finish trim with clean lines and seamless fit.

General Maintenance & Light Repairs:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve everyday maintenance issues — plumbing, lighting, HVAC, and more — with minimal disruption to residents.

On-Site Presence:

  • You’ll be visible in multi-million-dollar homes — professionalism, discretion, and poise are non-negotiable.

Preventative Care:

  • Keep systems running smoothly and residents undisturbed by catching small issues before they become big ones.

Vendor Coordination:

  • Oversee outside contractors when needed and ensure all work meets our standards.

Emergency Response & Seasonal Work:

  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support and assist with snow removal as needed.

Who Thrives in This Role:

Experienced Pros:

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience, ideally in luxury residential or 4- to 5-star hospitality settings.

Detail-Oriented Craftsmen:

  • You treat every task — from trim work to touch-up paint — like it’s your signature.

Calm Under Pressure:

  • You know how to carry yourself around discerning clients and high-net-worth individuals.

Clear Communicators:

  • Fluent in English, with the ability to write clear emails and speak with residents, managers, and owners professionally.

Reliable Operators:

  • Valid driver’s license, clean background, and the ability to travel between properties daily.

Physically Capable:

  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs and handle physically demanding work, indoors and out.

What You Get in Return:

Premium Benefits from Day One

  • Health, dental (company-paid), vision, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • 11 Paid Holidays + Generous PTO
  • Company Vehicle
  • Employee Assistance Program & Referral Bonuses

This is a rare opportunity to work in some of Boston’s most exclusive homes. If you take pride in your work, carry yourself with professionalism, and want to be part of a team that values quality above all — we encourage you to apply.
