Position Summary:


We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our caf team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing soups, sandwiches, and salads in a fast-paced environment. This position requires attention to detail, cleanliness, and a passion for quality food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and cook a variety of fresh soups, sandwiches, and salads according to caf recipes and quality standards.

  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely and organized manner.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.

  • Assist with prepping ingredients daily (chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, making dressings, aiolis etc.).

  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper kitchen procedures.

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages to the manager.

  • Assist with restocking and receiving deliveries as needed.

  • Maintain proper labeling and storage of food items.

  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.

Qualifications:


  • Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred (especially in a caf or deli setting).

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume setting.

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

  • Reliable and punctual with a positive team attitude.

  • Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:


  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment.
