Job Summary:
As a Cook I at Pasta & Press, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, assisting in the preparation and execution of our menu items. You will work closely with senior kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards while ensuring efficiency and consistency in every dish. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu items according to Pasta & Press recipes and quality standards. Assist in food prep, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following health and safety regulations. Monitor food stock levels and report shortages to the Kitchen Manager. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Uphold food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times. Assist with dish plating and presentation to meet restaurant standards. Qualifications & Skills: 1+ years of experience in a professional kitchen preferred. Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods. Comfortable working in a hot and high-energy environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
