Position: Line Cook (Kitchen Team Member)
Invitation: Join us in creating delicious, visually appealing dishes! You will oversee your prep work and cooking station while seamlessly upholding our standards for product quality and presentation. As a valued member of our Kitchen Team, you will gain cross-training in all kitchen roles.
Main Responsibilities:
Prepare menu items according to HomeGrown's recipes and presentation standards (60%).
Complete assigned prep work accurately (15%).
Set up your workstation (5%).
Maintain sanitarily safe food handling practices at all times (10%).
Clean and sanitize your workspace consistently (5%).
Finish assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects (5%).
Qualifications:
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
Able to lift and place items on both high and low shelves.
Good communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
Strong ability to follow recipes precisely.
Ability to operate efficiently for up to 10 hours in a fast-paced setting.
Attention to detail is essential.
A team player who can assist with various kitchen duties when required.
Capable of using kitchen tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Must be physically mobile throughout the entire shift.
Able to transport items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the day.
Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Comfortable multitasking in a high-pressure environment.
Physical Requirements:
This role necessitates regular physical activity, including navigating the restaurant, handling various items, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, and bend at the waist. To maintain hygiene standards, you will need good vision for cleanliness and the ability to operate touchscreen devices. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
