Position: Line Cook (Culinary Team Member)
As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering both delicious and visually appealing meals to our guests. Working closely with our culinary team, you'll prepare various menu items and maintain high standards for presentation and quality.
Responsibilities:
Prepare menu items following HomeGrown's recipes and presentation standards (50% of your time).
Complete assigned prep work to ensure the kitchen is ready for service (15%).
Organize your workstation according to the designated layout (15%).
Maintain safe and sanitary food handling practices at all times (10%).
Clean and sanitize your work area before, during, and after your shifts (5%).
Participate in daily and weekly cleaning tasks to keep our kitchen in top shape (5%).
Qualifications:
Bring a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow.
Able to lift and place items on shelves of various heights.
Good reading, writing, and communication skills.
Experience using kitchen equipment, including knives and slicers.
Physical mobility throughout your shift is required.
Ability to transport cases weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
Ability to respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively.
Physical Requirements: This role involves navigating the restaurant, moving various items, and maintaining cleanliness. Candidates must have good vision for assessing food quality and operating touchscreen devices. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
