We are seeking a reliable and skilled *Line Cook* to join our culinary team in a fast-paced *corporate kitchen environment*. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to standardized recipes and production guidelines to serve employees, clients, and guests. *Job Location:* Downtown, Seattle, WA
*Work Schedule & Environment:*
* *Full-time position:* Monday – Friday, early morning (6AM - 8-hour shift)
* Occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends for catered events
* Fast-paced kitchen setting with frequent standing, bending, and exposure to hot equipment and food
*Responsibilities:*
* Prepare, cook, and plate meals according to daily menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
* Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (grills, ovens, fryers, steamers, etc.)
* Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe standards)
* Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and consistent food quality during breakfast, lunch, and special events
* Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating inventory, including checking for freshness and proper labeling
* Follow portion control standards and minimize food waste
* Support catering and company events as needed
* Adhere to corporate kitchen policies regarding uniforms, safety, and sanitation
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or culinary leadership
*Qualifications:*
*Required:*
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen or food service environment
* Basic knife skills and understanding of commercial kitchen operations.
* Must have a knife kit
* Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
*Preferred:*
* Experience in a corporate or institutional kitchen (e.g., tech campus, university, hospital)
* Culinary degree or certification
* ServSafe certification or equivalent
*Physical Demands:*
* This job may require extended periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, twisting and kneeling for up to 8 hours.
* May also lift up to 50lbs.
