Participates in the interview process for nursing vacancies and assesses the performance of existing employees. Identifies educational needs of the staff and communicates needs to the Nurse Practice Educator (NPE) so they can be addressed. Ensures patient care assignments are consistent with staff competencies, scope of practice and the needs of the patients. Supports the DON in employing a strong Quality Improvement process for the nursing department. Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing. Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure. Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification (All SNFs and Behavioral Centers; ALFs/ILFs as required by State). Benefits: Variable compensation plans
