Overview Insurance Agent (Base salary + Uncapped commissions) in-office role in Birmingham, AL. This is not a remote position. You must have active Property, Casualty, and Life insurance licenses prior to employment. Pay details Base pay range: $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr. Typical training salary is $55k - $65k. Through a combination of base, bonuses, and uncapped commissions, typical total first year compensation ranges from $55k - $75k, with potential for top performers to earn over $100k in their first year. Eligible for a $1,000 Professional Start Bonus. Responsibilities Build and leverage a strong local network and in-person relationships in the community. Serve the insurance needs of the local community with auto, home, and life products from top national and regional carriers. Engage in in-office client-facing activities and provide consultative insurance solutions. Qualifications Active state insurance license in Property & Casualty, and Life. Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills. Well-developed persuasion and negotiation skills. Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with prospective and existing customers. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines. Familiarity with finding, building, and growing leads and customer base. Preferred Experience Previous employment in a sales role converting prospects into customers.
