Speech Tactics is seeking a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) to join our SAT Program.
About Our Supervision & Advanced Training (SAT) Program
Speech Tactics' SAT Program is a structured, two-year program for early career professionals within five years of graduation seeking employment , supervision hours for licensure, and clinical training in child and adolescent mental health. As we grow, we are seeking compassionate, skilled, and innovative healthcare professionals who are ready to think beyond conventional approaches. We're looking for dynamic team players who are eager to transform the field of pediatric therapy alongside our psychologists, BCBAs, speech therapists, physical therapists, RBTs, and occupational therapists. Designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world practice, the program offers hands-on training within our interdisciplinary model. Participants receive individualized, high-quality supervision, refine their skills across a range of interventions, and have opportunities to focus on areas aligned with their professional interests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
2. Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group counseling services to clients using a variety of therapeutic modalities.
3. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including speech therapists, behavior analysts, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and ABA therapists, to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
5. Participate in regular interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions to review cases, discuss treatment strategies, and enhance professional development.
6. Stay updated on best practices, emerging research, and industry trends in the field of counseling and behavioral health.
7. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, including maintaining client confidentiality and respecting cultural diversity.
8. Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health crises or emergencies as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling
Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) or
Clinical experience with children ages 2-18+
Experience using Evidence-Based Treatments
Training and clinical experience using theory-specific play therapy
Experience being the primary therapist for individual, group, and family counseling.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively document client progress and communicate with interdisciplinary team members.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards of practice.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads, priorities, and organizational needs.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the practice of counseling and behavioral health services.
