Carlton Fields is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant for its Los Angeles office.
Candidate will have a minimum of five years of legal experience focusing on any combination of business, financing, or real estate transactions. Qualified candidates must demonstrate professionalism, strong organizational and client service skills. The ability to take ownership, be proactive and resourceful, prioritize and multi-task based on business needs is essential. This position will support Shareholders, Of Counsel and Associates in a busy office.
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
Familiarity with documents and instruments for closings in mergers, acquisitions, financings, and/or other real estate transactions. Mastery of Microsoft Word/Excel, Adobe, redlining (Litera Compare), and generating Tables of Contents Familiarity with DocuSign, AIR CRE and/or Gavel a plus Assisting attorneys in preparing, proofreading, and revising documents Strong attention to detail and follow up Preparing client communications Marketing assistance Preparing closing binders Calendaring using Outlook Maintaining files and records using document management system experience is preferred (firm uses iManage) Submitting new business intake, conflict check requests, preparing engagement letters Coordinating and tracking of client billing Processing vendor invoices Preparing expense reimbursement, budget, and check request forms Handling of client audit requests Scheduling travel (including air, train, auto rentals and hotel), appointments and maintaining calendars and reminders Strong verbal and written communication Encouraged to ask questions and make suggestions Working independently and as part of a coordinated team Availability to work overtime Cross-desk support for Los Angeles Office Legal Administrative Assistants during absences or other office workflow needs
The salary range for this role in Los Angeles is $80,000 - $100,000. Actual salaries will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The salary range listed is just one component of the Carlton Fields total compensation package for employees. Other monetary rewards include annual discretionary bonuses based on performance and profit-sharing contributions based on eligibility and firm profitability.
