We are currently seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys in our Restructuring & Insolvency and Business Litigation groups in our Sacramento office. This on-site role primarily assists attorneys handling contract disputes, creditor-side collections, trustee representation, and related business litigation matters.
This position is ideal for a reliable, detail-oriented, tech-comfortable professional who enjoys working independently, managing priorities for multiple attorneys, and contributing meaningfully to a collaborative, client-focused team.
Responsibilities: Attorney Support: Provide administrative leadership and day-to-day support to attorneys with active litigation and restructuring caseloads .
Litigation Coordination: Assist attorneys in litigation related to contract disputes , creditor collections, trustee matters, judgment enforcement, and restructuring.
Document Preparation : Draft, format, edit, and file pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and motions. File and serve litigation documents in compliance with California state and federal court rules.
Restructuring Coordination : Assist with creditor/trustee-side bankruptcy procedures, restructuring, and insolvency matters, including document preparation and communication with court personnel.
Case & File Management : Maintain and organize case materials both physically and electronically, including litigation and restructuring files.
Scheduling & Calendar Management : Coordinate hearings, depositions, meetings, and court deadlines; manage calendars for multiple attorneys.
Client Intake & File Openings : Handle conflict checks, initiate new matters, and prepare engagement letters.
Billing & Timekeeping : Track attorney time, process proformas, and assist with billing procedures using Intapp or equivalent software.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and staff across offices to ensure seamless service delivery and team effectiveness.
Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a legal administrative assistant, with a strong emphasis in California and federal courts.
Experience supporting attorneys handling creditor-side litigation, trustee representation, contract disputes , or judgment enforcement matters is preferred, but not required.
Confidence and independence in managing workflows, deadlines, and priorities for multiple attorneys.
Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, formatting, and legal style.
High standards of discretion, ethics, and confidentiality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, document management systems (iManage preferred), DocuSign, and time/billing platforms (Intapp preferred).
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
