A Day in the Life:
Maintains a safe work environment by following standards and procedures, aligning with legal regulations.
Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
Perform immediate and preventative maintenance for manufacturing production equipment
Assess and recommend improvements to molding machines, auxiliary equipment and electrical systems, and HVAC, for long term sustainability.
Engages the Maintenance and Engineering team to challenge the status quo to make continuous operational improvements.
Collaborate with all appropriate departments/staff in progress updates, problem analysis, and corrective action recommendations.
Ability to identify and implement balanced processes.
Work with Molding, Scheduling and Production Manager on prioritizing machine repair scheduling.
Participate in the creation of SOPs and work instructions related to the department.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Manufacturing environment experience required.
2 -3 years Maintenance Mechanic experience in Automotive, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Commercial, or other related industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Basic business insight
Computer literate – Analyze and present data developed from the use of the computer including Microsoft Office Suite.
Writing and articulation are an important aspect of documenting work performed in SAP.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Safety and Quality focused Preferred Qualifications
Ability to read prints, drawings, and schematics.
HVAC knowledge.
Electrical diagnostics.
Knowledge of electrical installation and electrical diagnostics.
Working with AC/DC drives
Hydraulics and pneumatics.
Background in industrial, mechanical settings.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Frequently lift 50 lbs and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs with assistance
Frequently stand or walk for extended periods of time and occasionally required to kneel, crouch, or crawl
