Position Overview The Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative is responsible for serving as the first point of contact for customers, handling product inquiries, order processing, and support at our Superior Industrial Supply branch (). This role combines relationship management and technical product knowledge with the ability to provide solutions in fasteners, hydraulic hoses & fittings, abrasives, cutting tools, and safety products. The representative supports outside sales, strengthens customer loyalty, and contributes to sales growth. Key Responsibilities Proactive first contact outbound calling to potential customers through established leads as well as market research. Provide outstanding customer service through phone, email, and in-person support. Manage and process orders, quotes, returns, and credits accurately in the ERP system. Assist customers in identifying the right product solutions, leveraging knowledge of fasteners, hydraulic hoses & fittings, abrasives, and safety gear. Support outside sales team with quoting, order follow-up, and customer communications. Collaborate with purchasing and operations to ensure timely product availability and delivery. Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally. Develop product knowledge by working with suppliers, catalogs, and internal training. Seek opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and expand accounts. Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree required. 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or industrial distribution experience. Product knowledge of fasteners, hydraulic hoses & fittings, and safety/MRO supplies is highly desirable. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM software and Epicor/P21 knowledge is a plus Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
