We are currently seeking a skilled Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in York, Maine. This is a great opportunity to work in a hospital environment with a strong emphasis on sterile compounding and medication safety.

Start Date: August 11, 2025
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Variable shifts between 7:00 AM 9:00 PM with rotating weekends
Type: Contract Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week, Travel
Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the technician will perform essential functions including sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory control, medication preparation, and support for pharmacy operations. This position requires adherence to USP 797 and 800 standards and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications using aseptic technique
Perform required drug dilution/reconstitution calculations
Maintain compliance with USP 797/800 and proper PPE protocols
Support restocking of pharmaceutical products, including automated dispensing systems
Participate in quality assurance inspections and documentation
Assist in cleanroom maintenance and environmental monitoring
Provide support in medication inventory management and order processing
Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to support safe medication practices
Requirements: Active Maine Pharmacy Technician License
PTCB Certification
Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy setting
Proficiency in sterile compounding and handling hazardous medications
Strong math, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work variable shifts and rotating weekends
Preferred Experience: Familiarity with NewLeaf or similar pharmacy systems
Prior experience in high-volume inpatient or cleanroom environments
