Bartender Accurately mix and serve beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Greet guests, take beverage orders from outlet service staff or directly from guests. Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards. Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures. Collect payment for drinks served and balance cash receipts. Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests. Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate. Clean bar, assigned work area and area tables as needed. Assist with training and ensure that new employees are fully oriented to proper procedures and policies. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions. Perform other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum one year bartending experience in a high volume operation preferred. Good communication skills required. Food Handler's Card and Alcoholic Beverage Commission Card (ABC card) may be required. Does not have authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement management policies or operating practices. Does not have authority to commit the employer in matters that have significant financial impact. Does not have authority to waive or deviate from established policies and procedures without prior approval. Does not have authority to negotiate and bind the company on significant matters.
