You will join our team of People Team colleagues who support Henry Street’s 700 team members. We exist to serve our team members as a resource center providing assistance and expertise on all employment-related matters, including recruitment, retention, onboarding, compensation, benefits, and learning & development.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the People Team. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and logistical support. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position also requires strong communication skills and a high level of discretion in handling sensitive information.

5+ years related administrative experience.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Ability to multi-task
Detailed oriented and organized.
Strong communication and customer service skills
Solid understanding of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
In this role, you will: Schedule interviews, meetings, events and coordinate all logistics.
Triage phone calls and route to appropriate colleagues.
Place orders; reconcile invoices.
Prepare meeting and event materials (e.g. agenda photocopying, binder preparation, etc.)
Take meeting minutes and distribute.
Register participants and track attendance; manage evaluations.
Submit facilities and IT work order requests.
Daily monitoring and triage the HR’s emails.
Maintain confidential filing system.
Collect and track timecards for team and submit to payroll.
Support People Team
Other duties as assigned by Chief People Officer
Essential Physical Job Functions: Able to climb stairs.
Ability to work onsite in the Lower East Side
Able to read, hear, type.
Able to file.
Lift office supplies or files up to 20 pounds
