Position: Human Resources Administrative Assistant
Location: Wachusett Regional School District
Pay: $55,000 to $60,000
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the HR Department with the onboarding process for all new District employees, including completion and tracking of new hire documentation, as well as assist with the offboarding process for exiting staff. Assist with maintaining employee records in HR systems such as PowerSchool/TalentEd, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Process and track CORI, SAFIS, DCF background checks in compliance with District and state requirements. Provide administrative support in managing the substitute system (ReadySub). Update spreadsheets and databases related to employee information, hiring activity, and HR metrics as needed. Maintain confidential personnel files and assist with regular audits to ensure data integrity. Respond professionally and promptly to employee inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and a customer service oriented approach. Assist with various projects under the direction of the HR Director. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Human Resources Department. Qualifications / Skills: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Prior experience in an HR or administrative support role, preferably within a school district. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and HR systems such as PowerSchool/TalentEd; experience with Munis is a plus. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
