As a Housekeeping Supervisor in our community, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and home-like environment for the residents, staff, and the public. Housekeeping services are provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures and are consistent with state and federal regulations designed to maintain an environment that enhances our residents' quality of life. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE: Ensure the well-being and protection of every resident by delivering high-quality care. Manage the housekeeping employees to ensure standards meet facility, state, and federal requirements. Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness, and community standards. Promote and support a positive work environment focused on team building and collaboration. Maintain confidentiality of all personal or health information concerning residents and staff. Coordinate responsibilities of the housekeeping and laundry staff . Train housekeeping staff on cleaning and maintenance tasks. Inspect, monitor, clean, educate, and maintain resident rooms, indoor and outdoor common areas, restrooms, showers and spa rooms, and employee service areas. Report upon first notice any environmental situation which could pose a threat to the safety or well-being of the residents . Assign daily tasks to housekeeping staff, including picking up and disposing of trash, maintaining flooring, moving, and maintaining furniture and appliances, and maintaining light fixtures. Train housekeeping staff to use equipment in a safe and effective manner. Shampoo carpets when needed. Turn rooms when their are move outs ensuring they are ready for new tenants. maintain deep cleaning ensuring all items are scheduled for cleaning. Ensure daily cleans and deeps cleans are done per schedule. Assist residents and family members when moving in or transferring to another room or unit. Follow infection control standards while performing cleaning. Understand the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste. Manage and monitor the other housekeeping staff which includes auditing their work, ensuring daily cleaning checklists are complete, creating the schedule, approving time off requests, approving time cards weekly, and making time clock adjustments. All other duties as assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience working in environmental services and/or senior living. One year of experience in a supervisor position. Proven demonstration of effective leadership skills. Dependability and a contagiously-positive attitude. A team player looking to promote themselves and the people around them. Growth opportunities! COMPENSATION: Full- time , non-exempt, employee generally 40 hours per week. From time-to-time additional hours may be required for special projects or for temporary increased workload. Usually, day shift hours with a weekend and holiday rotation.
$16.00-$18.50 per hour depending on experience
