Job Summary
Provide personal care, comfort, and unit support to hospice inpatients under the direction of a nurse; assist families and help maintain a clean, safe, calm setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide activities of daily living (bathing, hygiene); perform safe transfers, ambulation, positioning, and range of motion; deliver basic comfort care.
- Take and record vital signs; observe and promptly report patient and family needs to the nurse and the interdisciplinary team.
- Assist with meals and feeding techniques; support light housekeeping tasks to keep rooms safe and orderly.
- Prepare supplies and equipment; use the Hoyer lift safely; complete end-of-shift duties (intake and output, cleaning, trash removal, laundry, and shift report).
- Document care and services per policy; reinforce caregiver guidance and universal precautions.
Job Qualifications
Required
- Arkansas CNA certification; BLS.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; follow written/oral instructions.
Preferred
- Prior CNA experience in hospital/SNF/home health or completion of state/federal 40-hour training.
Compensation & Schedule
- Status: Full-time (PRN/part-time may be considered)
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts; rotating weekends/holidays
- Pay: Competitive hourly rate with differentials (details during interview)
